Senior Software Engineer
Reporting To: Chief Technology Officer
Overview:
As a part of our engineering team, you will join a group of intellectually curious entrepreneurs within the company. We are looking for a mid-career software engineer / architect with a minimum of 5 years of full stack software development experience, developing medium- to large-scale multitier or cloud native applications. Our software suite provides supply chain management and inventory management for the wood products industry.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, a problem solver, and must have a solid understanding of computer science principles in addition to hands-on experience with the following items and concepts:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science (or related field)
- Restful API Design / Web APIs in ASP.NET CORE in C#
- ORM using code-first database approach
- EF Core preferred
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Full understanding of relational database design and workings
- Expertise in Object Oriented Design, and Relational Database Design
- Cloud platforms and infrastructure technologies
- Azure preferred
- Full software development lifecycle
- Front-end stacks and concept of single page app
- Vue.js (preferred), Angular or Bootstrap
- Test automation
- Git-based source control systems
- CI/CD deployment pipelines
- Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
- Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
Responsibilities
- Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
- Develop/maintain/improve software applications, user interfaces
- Design and implement new functionality enhancements
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
- Support test and deployment of new products and features
- Participate in code reviews
- Mentor new developers
